Dear Brethren, Greetings from the brethren in Thessalonica! We praise the Lord for His protection and provision as we serve Him here! It really is crazy to think it’s been 2 years since we arrived to the Thessaloniki airport with all our luggage. There were so many hurdles to get over in our first year, but the Lord has been there to help us through each step of the way! It’s just amazing to look back on where we were with the language, people, and just learning to navigate the city here! Although, we are still learning many new things …

Dear Brethren, The Lord continues to bless the ministry here and we truly appreciate your investment in the lives of men! We have had many great opportunities to witness each week on the streets and sow the seed of the gospel here in Thessaloniki. Just re-cently, we had a great witness with a couple young men that listened respectfully as I asked them about their relationship with the Lord. The answers they gave me were the typical responses you get from the Orthodox people here. However, they did take the tracts and seemed to consider what they heard. We pray …

Dear Brethren, It is always exciting to see the Lord answer our prayers and teach us to rely on Him! Thank you to everyone that prayed for our interpreter during her difficult time in the hospital. She was finally released on January 14th and seems to be recovering very well! Another answer to prayer came when we had two visitors show up from receiving gospel tracts! Mrs. Alketa and her daughter Anna have been faithfully coming to our church since January. They are excited to worship with us each week, and it has been a blessing to get to know …
November-December 2025
Dear Brethren, We would like to start off by saying thank you to each church and individual that sent us extra money recently—we truly appreciate your generosity! We praise the Lord for the things He accomplished through us and the answered prayers from 2025! There were times when we just didn’t know how the Lord would get us through, and He has increased our faith in Him! It was exciting (to say the least) to see the Lord work things out for us to stay here permanently! Another major blessing has been to see our son Daniel (14 yr. old) …

Dear Brethren, Many of you have contacted me or asked about the status of our paperwork! Thank you for praying for our family as we have been navigating through the issues with our paperwork to stay here in Greece. As I mentioned at the end of our last prayer letter, we were issued rejection letters from the immigration department and had 25 days to leave the country. The Lord has worked out the situation in such an amazing way that we are truly amazed at what has transpired in the last few weeks! We were able to get German passports …
July-August 2025
We praise the Lord for His blessings and protection as we have now been here a year as of July! Our family traveled to Bulgaria for a couple days during the first week of July and had the privilege of being part of the Kesslers midweek service as well as helping them distribute John & Romans in a small village close to our border. It was an encouragement to worship with the brethren there and see what God is doing in that ministry. The missionaries throughout Bulgaria are doing an amazing job covering the whole country with the John & …
May-June 2025
We have been encouraged and blessed to have had several visitors in the last two months! In May, we had a young woman from Maine, the daughter of a pastor, come visit us. Our children enjoyed having a friend while we did evangelism. She was a tremendous help and clearly demonstrated a servant’s heart. Our people here welcomed her as one of the family and enjoyed getting to know her. A mission team from Canada visited near the end of May with a goal of distributing over 20,000 tracts. We were thrilled to be involved and excited to see them …

The MinistryWe were encouraged to have several visitors come to the church recently! One of the men who came a couple of times seemed to be searching for the truth, but he turned out to be more interested in what he could get physically—not spiritually. Sadly, that is the situation for many of the people here who are living on the streets. It has definitely been a learning experience as we continue to reach out to the various types of people here. Another man in his late 40s came a couple weeks ago and professed to be saved. He said …
January-February 2025
The last two months have been filled with many blessings in the ministry here. It’s been wonderful to be able to speak more Greek, sing in it, and understand so much more! We praise the Lord for His help in retaining what we have learned so far! We have had several visitors in church as a result of the weekly street ministry. Our first visitor was a man named Kiriakos (possibly in his 50s) that was simply curious about the church but claimed he was Greek Orthodox. He stayed for both services that Sunday and seemed attentive but mentioned that …
November-December 2024
We hope and pray this letter finds you well and enjoying the blessings of our Lord! It has been amazing to look back on 2024 and see the Lord’s hand guiding us through each step as we prepared for Greece. I praise the Lord and still find it miraculous that we were able to arrive here in July after six months of deputation. We were just starting to hit the road for meetings during this time last year! Praise the Lord! Our family enjoyed having visitors recently and doing ministry together! It was a privilege to have Bro. James Childress …
