Public Ministry
The Lord continues to answer our prayers and give us many opportunities to reach the lost here each week. Since there are religious restrictions in this country, it is always a blessing to find new ways to reach the people. One such approach was used when our family stood at several street corners where a university is located. As the students left the campus we would offer them tracts and try to witness to them. One young man(Constantinos)talked to us for over two hours as he tried to defend the Greek Orthodox religion. He seemed to know a lot of Bible but relied heavily on the “church fathers” and their authority. He was still open to looking at several verses regarding salvation and why we only need one mediator. His allegiance to the GO church definitely kept him from accepting the truth. Since there are over ten universities in this city, we have plans to reach these students each week through this same means and possibly start a Bible study with them in the future. Please pray for us as we reach these young people!
We have had several good witnesses with people on the waterfront as well! One man visited the church recently and another that is a Christian from Iran plans to come soon. It’s a blessing to see some fruit from this outreach as well. Our brethren enjoy being a part of this open door each weekend, and it’s encouraging to see their boldness as they witness to the people in Greek!
Practical Ministry
The church is doing very well and we have a good core of people that are faithful to come on Sundays and Wednesdays. I’m teaching verse-by-verse through the book of John for Sunday school, preaching expository messages for the main service, and teaching Biblical discipleship on Wednesday nights. We praise the Lord for these brethren that desire to please the Lord!
Please continue to pray for the Kessler family! (my sister & brother-in-law that are missionaries to Bulgaria) We have enjoyed having them here with us the past few weeks and continue to pray that their daughter Alyssa (18yo) will recover completely. She is in a mental hospital here in Greece since she had a bad episode from pneumonia that caused her to have mental issues. We are hoping and praying she recovers soon!
Thank you, as always, for your faithful prayers and support!
To God be the Glory,
