January-February 2025

The last two months have been filled with many blessings in the ministry here. It’s been wonderful to be able to speak more Greek, sing in it, and understand so much more! We praise the Lord for His help in retaining what we have learned so far!

We have had several visitors in church as a result of the weekly street ministry. Our first visitor was a man named Kiriakos (possibly in his 50s) that was simply curious about the church but claimed he was Greek Orthodox. He stayed for both services that Sunday and seemed attentive but mentioned that he was not saved. As many of the people here, he claimed that it would be very difficult to leave the Greek Orthodox Church because of the family ties. During our conversation, it became quite evident that he was only claiming that he was religious but not practicing anything. Please pray for Kirokos to consider the truth he heard and surrender his life to Christ!

Another person that has been attending our church as a result from receiving a tract is a lady in her 80s named Katerina. She has been saved for many years and has such a sweet spirit. It has been a great blessing to get to know her and an encouragement to us all, for sure! We met her while doing the street ministry and giving out New Testaments. It was also exciting to get out over 50 Bibles and hundreds of tracts during that time!

Lately, we have had the opportunity to spend more time in discipleship with a young man that has been part of our church for the past few months. Many of you might remember Chrysostomos from the story I told you about his salvation experience while we were traveling in the US. He is in his early 20s and has a desire to serve the Lord, so this has brought upon a lot of problems with his Orthodox family (Psalm 27:10). They liked it when he was partying and fitting in with the world but are now getting irritated when he is around because they don’t want to hear him “preaching” to them. Please pray for him as he is trying to find a job to support himself so he can be free to focus on serving the Lord without the family manipulating his situation. We are trying to encourage him and do what we can, but the Lord will have to work out everything in His time.

Lastly, we have submitted our paperwork to apply for our residence permits since our visas are expiring this month. We ask that you please pray for them to be approved quickly! There are many things that the Lord is doing here, and we are excited to see the progress. However, the devil is still doing his best to hinder it all, as usual. Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and support! It’s such a blessing to have you holding the ropes on that end!
